Title: Problémy psychického vývinu nadaných detí s Aspergerovým syndrómom

Abstract:

The contribution highlights theoretical aspects and empirical experience from a work with gifted children with occurrence of a specific form of autism – the Asperger syndrome. Manifestations of persons with the Asperger syndrome at child and adult age, too, are characterized by literature. Furthermore, the author describes manifestations of four gifted children with the Asperger syndrome diagnosis – they attend the elementary degree of School For Exceptionally Gifted Children and Grammar School (Gymnasium) in Bratislava. At the conclusion, presented are recommendations how to work with these children at school.
