Title: Transport properties of interpenetrating phase composites tin-carbon
Author: S. KRCHO

Abstract: Interpenetrating phase composites carbon-tin prepared by the pressure infiltration technology were tested in terms of electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and sound velocity relating to the tin content (up to 25 vol.%. Sn). Results obtained show that at tin concentration xc = 7.9 vol.% the continuous cluster of the tin component in the carbon skeleton is formed. As a result, the percolation of electrons in composites occurred changing the concentration dependence of electrical conductivity from linear to power. Thermal conductivity and sound velocity of composites increased linearly with increase in tin content without being influenced by the tin cluster structure
