Abstract: USE OF PLAY THERAPY IN SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT Abstract: The case study examines the role of play therapy in the work of a professional team on the therapeutic support for a 7-year-old boy at risk. The article is based on the humanist-centered psychology, the principles of inclusive pedagogy and the concept of resilience. The author analyzes qualitatively the risks and resources of a child’s development based on available sources of school history, documents and video recordings from thirty therapeutic sessions. The final discussion provides implications for practice, emphasizes the importance of helping relationships and play in non-directive therapy, the role of the specialist team at school, a comprehensive approach to accompanying children at risk and the applicability these practices directly in the school environment. |
