Title: AEPS – PRÍSTUP PREPÁJAJÚCI DIAGNOSTICKÉ ZISTENIA S INTERVENCIOU
Author: DANIELA MITRÍKOVÁ, MARÍNA MIKULAJOVÁ
Abstract: AEPS – APPROACH BRIDGING DIAGNOSTIC OUTCOMES WITH INTERVENTION Early child development is key to achieving developmental tasks at a later age. In support of quality foundations of healthy development, it is optimal to link diagnostic outcomes with the specific objectives of the intervention and monitor the course of development. The best results are achieved when the processes supporting development take place in the child’s natural environment and the developmental context is taken into account. These conditions are combined in the Assessment, Evaluation, and Programming System for Infants and Children (AEPS). The authors present the AEPS model, which enables a comprehensive assessment of the achievement of developmental milestones in the domains of fine motor skills, gross motor skills, cognition, social-communication, social and adaptive skills. It allows to formulate the goals of the intervention, provides a curriculum for achieving them within and across domains, and allows to assess the child’s developmental progress. The AEPS is developed for the age range from birth to six years |
