Abstract:

TWICE EXCEPTIONAL CHILD – intellectually gifted with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Abstract: The authors introduce the issue of gifted students with dyslexia and present their research objectives – to verify an intervention program aimed at developing the reading competence of these students. In the preliminary research conducted as a case study, they followed a 4th grade elementary school student diagnosed with general intellectual giftedness and ADHD, which was manifested by problematic behaviour at school. After the application of the intervention program, the student’s understanding of the text improved and several problematic behavioural manifestations were modified.
