Abstract:

MENTAL HEALTH FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF ADOLESCENTS
 

The paper focuses on the issue of mental health from the perspective of adolescents. The authors provide a qualitative analysis through a semi-structured interview with fifteen adolescents attending primary school, secondary school, and university. The results of the interviews reveal the importance of health, especially mental health, for adolescents. They point to negative health-threatening factors, such as substance addictions (smoking) and the dangers of social networks. The participants also talked about how they take care of their mental health.
