Title: PORUCHY UČENIA V MKCH-11
Author: VLADIMÍR DOČKAL
Abstract: LEARNING DISORDERS IN ICD-11 Abstract: The paper focuses on the concept of developmental learning disorders in the 11th revision of the International Classification of Diseases and confronts it with the challenges that occur in the description and diagnosis of these disorders in the literature, especially in the Czech and Slovak literature. It draws attention to the partially different understanding of learning disorders and the relevant terminology used in the education sector and medical manuals. ICD-11 defines only one developmental learning disorder, which is then specified according to the area of academic abilities it affects. The concept clearly applies only to school learning, specifically to learning the three Rs. It emphasizes the developmental nature of the disorder and acknowledges its comorbidity with several other disorders, including the co-occurrence of learning and intellectual disorders. |
