Abstract: DO ONCOLOGY PATIENTS AND PARENTS OF CHILDREN WITH ONCOLOGICAL DISEASES USE RELIGIOUS COPING? Abstract: Cancer burden continues to grow globally, exerting tremendous physical and emotional strain on individuals, families, and communities. Almost all patients with cancer and parents of children with cancer show one of the following psychosocial problems such as shock, denial, guilt, fear, fatigue, stress, sleep disorder, anxiety, depression, etc. Therefore, various coping strategies including religious coping are frequently used by patients with cancer and parents of children with cancer in many societies around the world, especially in the United States. Author discusses use of religious coping among oncology patients and parents of children with oncological diseases to draw attention to the importance of religious coping. |
