Title: TRIM31 promotes proliferation, invasion and migration of glioma cells through Akt signaling pathway
Author: G. Shi, C. Lv, Z. Yang, T. Qin, L. Sun, P. Pan, D. Wang

Abstract: This study is intended to investigate the role of Tripartite Motif (TRIM) 31 in glioma. Immunohistochemistry and western blot analysis showed that TRIM31 was overexpressed in high-grade glioma tissues. Univariate survival analysis indicated that high expression of TRIM31 was related to short survival time of glioma patients. Multivariate survival analysis demonstrated that TRIM31 was an independent prognostic factor for glioma patients. In addition, through the experiments on glioma cell lines, we found that after silencing or overexpressing TRIM31 expression, the proliferation, invasion and migration of glioma cells could be downregulated or upregulated through Akt signaling pathway. In short, our study suggests that TRIM31 may be an effective target for glioma intervention.
